Chimayo
I went into Borders in Santa Fe to ask if they had any books on Chimayo. I couldn't find anything on the shelves. We'd been up there on Good Friday and there were thousands of people - pilgrims up there, mainly Hispanic - pilgrims with attitude. The shop assistant looked at me with a look of disbelief. 'The reason why there aren't any books about it is because there is NOTHING there' she said.
